Shillong, Aug 30: After four seasons together, Aiban Dohling has split with FC Goa and has joined Kerala Blasters, it has been revealed.

Dohling has signed on a three-year deal until 2026, the Blasters announced.

The defender joined the Gaurs in 2019-20 from Shillong Lajong FC, where he was the rock of the back line. He had a slow start, making just one appearance for Goa in the ISL in that first season before playing in another eight matches the following year.

Since then, he has come into his own and made 35 appearances for the club in the past two seasons in the ISL. Over his four-year stint, the Sohra native has also played for the team in the Asian Champions League and Durand Cup (which he won with the club in 2021).

“His presence and experience in our squad will solidify our defence further,” Karolis Skinkys of the Blasters was quoted as saying on social media.

Dohling has previously been a fixture of the Tata Football Academy and Lajong.

He made his I-League debut on 17th February 2016 away to Mohun Bagan but only became a regular in the SLFC team towards the end of the 2017-18 I-League season. In all he made 25 appearances for Lajong in the I-League.
