Shillong, Aug 14: 4FORALL Football Academy reached the semifinals of the DPDL Super Cup 2024 in Bangalore where they were beaten by Chennaiyin FC and Football4Change.
4FORALL had sent U-13 and U-15 teams to the tournament.
Despite a brave show, both teams were knocked out in the semifinals. “Our boys have gained valuable experience from this campaign far away from their homes and no doubt pick themselves up and come back stronger for the next one,” the academy said yesterday.
Three 4FORALL players were presented with individual awards – Hashwabantei Suting (Best Goalkeeper U-13), Lionel Marngar (Top Scorer U-13) and Lekystar Wanniang (Best Midfielder U-15).
The tournament rant from 7th to 11th August and the 4FORALL contingent, comprising a total of 40 players, was led by three licensed coaches – Merrick A Rymbai, Pailaremdor Syndor and Aibor Shabong.
