Shillong, Apr 1: Meghalaya Police won the final of the Shillong Cricket Association’s Inter-Office Cricket League 2024-25, beating Raj Bhavan by 13 runs here today.
Raj Bhavan won the toss and elected to field first and the police team put up a total of 129/5 in the allotted 20 overs. Ganesh Sahani top-scored with 31 from 24 balls, while Kamal Thapa made 24 from 16. Robin Chettri returned figures of 2/20 in 4 overs for the bowling side.
In reply, Raj Bhavan were all out for 116 in 19.1 overs. MLP bowlers Pankaj Roy (4/23 in 4 overs) and Ganesh (3/19 in 3.1) devastated the batting line-up by taking seven wickets between them. Sunil (31 from 22 balls) and Bijit Yadav (28 from 37) were the brightest hopes for Raj Bhavan.
Ganesh was named Player of the Final.
