Shillong, Aug 6: Khliehriat East YWSC (pictured below) and Lumshnong YWSC (top) both won their respective quarterfinal fixtures 2-0 in the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Second Division 2025 in Khliehriat yesterday.
Khliehriat East beat Umlyngsha YSSC, while Lumshnong got the better of Khliehriat West FC.
Hamboi-da-o Bareh (12′) and Mihsalan Langstang (38′) scored for Khliehriat East, while Lumshnong’s goals were provided by Joy Peace Pohtmi (1′, 18′).
Both winners thus progress to the semifinals and will be promoted to next season’s First Division as well.
The action returns to the Third Division on Friday, when the two semifinals will be played. In the first, Suchen Lumiarain SC will take on Lumshyrmit SCSC at 12:30PM. This will be followed by Lama Youth SC versus Narwan SC at 3PM.
