Shillong, Sep 2: Meghalaya will be in action today afternoon in their opening match of the U-15 boys’ category of the Subroto Cup 2025 in Bengaluru.

Meghalaya have been drawn in Pool B with Gujarat, Uttarakhand and Sainik Schools.

The state’s first opponents will be Gujarat at 3PM. Meghalaya are being represented at the tournament by Mawtneng Upper Primary and Secondary School of Ri-Bhoi, who won the state title in July.

Meghalaya, represented by Nongjri Presbyterian Secondary School of Ri-Bhoi, won the national title in 2024.

The U-17 girls’ category has already been completed, with Meghalaya exiting in the quarterfinals. The U-17 boys’ category will begin later this month. A send-off for the U-15 boys’ and U-17 boys’ teams was organised by the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs in Shillong on 27th August.
