Shillong, Sep 22: Byndihati CSC have qualified for the quarterfinals of the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s First Division 2025 based on goal difference after an exceedingly close race in Pool A.
Byndihati were drawn with Rymbai Wahshnong SC, Ladrymbai Dongwah SWSC and Rangad SCSC.
The first three teams in the above list all garnered 5 points each after each defeated Rangad while drawing with the other two.
Byndihati’s 6-1 win over Rangad gave them a goal difference of +5, putting them through as the group winners.
However, both R Wahshnong and Ladrymbai Dongwah both have a goal difference of +2, the same number of goals scored (4) and goals conceded (2). Therefore, we don’t know which of these two will progress to the knockouts and will have to wait on intimation from the EJHDFA.
