Shillong, Feb 27: Nongthymmai CC were decimated when they went up against Nongmensong CC today, losing by eight wickets in Group A of the Shillong Cricket League Super Division 2026, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, in Polo today.
Nongmensong won the toss and chose to field first. Anish Charak spun his way through the batting line-up, taking 5/3 in 6 overs (including a hat-trick), while his team mate Raghav Magotra bagged 3/12 in 5.3 overs. No batter went past 13, made by both Rajit Kumar Rai and Banialam Mylliemngap.
The chase took just 3.5 overs, with Abhishek Gupta scoring 20 not out in 10 balls and Kush Agarwal 16 in 10. There were a couple of casualties, with Nongmensong losing two wickets, but these were only a minor slip-up.
The Player of the Match award went to Anish for his impressive bowling demonstration.
