Shillong, May 24: Phibandamary Nongrum has signed a deal to move to Sesa Football Academy in Goa on a full scholarship, Pay For Right Football Academy announced yesterday.

The teenager has signed a three-year contract with Sesa.

Phiban has been a part of PFR for the last three years under the guidance of Jeffrey S Massar and Tyngshain Kharlyngdoh.

She made her debut in the Meghalaya Women State League 2025 last year at just 13 years old. Phiban also represented Meghalaya at the Sub-Junior Girls’ National Football Championship 2025-26 and scored three goals for PFR in the Shillong Sports Association’s Women’s Football League 2025.

Sesa Football Academy is supported by the mining giant Vedanta. Its women’s team participated in the Indian Women’s League this season but were relegated and will feature in next year’s IWL 2.
