Shillong, Jul 6: Lamlynti defeated Lawmali Pyllun 2-0 in Group A of the Shillong Sports Association’s Third Division 2026 Super 8 stage here at the SSA Stadium.
After a goalless first half in the 80-minute match, Laban Taro (55′) and Wallam Kharumnuid (57′) struck within a couple minutes of each other to bring victory to Lamlynti.
At the same time, but over at the MFA Ground, Nongumlong and Umphyrnai played out a 1-1 draw in the Relegation Zone’s Group A. Arban Khongsngi (38′) and Tony Syngkli (40’+1) scored for Umphyrnai and Nongumlong respectively.
The top two teams from each Super 8 group will progress to the semifinals, while the bottom team from each Relegation Zone group will drop down to the Fourth Division next year.
