Shillong, Aug 19: Lawsohtun and Umlyngka each won by big margins in their respective matches of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2026 here today.
Umlyngka took down Mawkriah West 4-0 in Group B while Lawsohtun went one better to flatten Sohryngkham 5-0 in Group C.
At the SSA Stadium Sahame Lyngdoh (31′, 90’+4), Lamin Thangkhiew (42′, 47′) and Firstmoon Kharkongor (50′) scored for Lawsohtun to keep them in first place in the group. Sohryngkham are in second place but didn’t look like a side capable of taking the fight to Lawsohtun today.
Over at the MFA Ground, Umlyngka’s Hamlet Thabah (16′, 63′), Jollystar Hynniewta (48′) and Nichelson Lyngkhoi (75′) gave their team a second win of the season; Umlyngka now have 6 points and are in second position. Mawkriah West, meanwhile, are at the bottom of Group B.
