Shillong, Aug 21: Meghalaya defeated Madhya Pradesh 2-1 in their third Group D match of the U-17 Girls’ Subroto Cup International Football Tournament 2026 in New Delhi.
Meghalaya are being represented at the tournament by Little Star Higher Secondary School of Eastern West Khasi Hills, who emerged as the state champions in July.
Little Star scored through Wandari Rani (23′) and Bansara Rynshiang (40′) on their way to victory.
They had won their opening two games against Chandigarh and the International Schools Sports Organisation. The U-17 girls’ matches are of 60 minutes’ duration.
Wandari has now scored 5 goals in total, including a hat-trick on Wednesday against ISSO.
Meghalaya will face DNH&DD in their fourth and last group game tomorrow at 3PM at the Subroto Park Football Ground.
