Shillong, Sep 11: Meghalaya claimed 3rd place in girls’ singles and girls’ doubles at the recently concluded North East Zone Inter-State Badminton Championship 2017, which was held in Aizawl from 5-8 September.
Shailja Chettri and Banadien Rapsang were third in doubles, while Chettri also finished in the same position in the singles, a press release from the Meghalaya State Badminton Association informed today.
Special prizes were also awarded to two promising shuttlers of each state. These went to Chettri and Hrisami Passah.
