Shillong, Apr 10: Shillong Lajong won their second match of the U-15 Junior League (Shillong-Guwahati Zone) against NorthEast United FC 6-0 in Guwahati today.
Lajong pumped in four goals in the first half, by Henry Nongneng (16′), Sangti Janai Shianglong (22′), Batskhemlang Jyrwa (27′) and Benjamin Diengdoh (42′), with two more provided late in the game by Abhay Chettri (82′) and Glennys Lynrah (89′).
This was NorthEast United’s second major defeat after losing their opener 7-0 to Numaligarh Refinery Limited Football Academy.
Lajong’s next match will be at home on 18th March versus NRL at Third Ground at 1:30PM. The first leg fixture ended 1-1 between these two teams in Guwahati on 7th April.
