Shillong, Apr 29: The Meghalaya Swimming Association will hold a series of camps ahead of its state-level Junior & Sub Junior Swimming and Diving Competition, the MSA informed today.
The competition will be held at Crinoline Swimming Pool in Shillong on 24th and 25th May. This will also act as a selection event for junior and sub-junior swimmers who will represent the state in the national-level competition in June.
All youth interested in participating in the upcoming competition can register by giving their names and other necessary information at the MSA office at Crinoline Swimming Pool from 6th May between 9AM and 5PM. Screening will be conducted by the MSA at a date to be notified later.
Meanwhile, the MSA will also conduct coaching clinics in collaboration with local swimming clubs in Shella on 4th May and Mawkyrwat on 11th May to encourage youth from rural areas to participate in the upcoming competition. The MSA will also hold its annual coaching camp in various places in the run-up to the competition.
