Shillong, Jun 28: Top sides Langsning and Mawkhar played out a goalless draw (the third of the season) in the U-18 Shillong Premier League at Third Ground, Polo, today.
Rain threatened the show but thankfully there was enough sunshine in the afternoon to dry out the pitch.
What we then had was a frenzied match with both sides trying to outpace and outfox one another, but neither was able to find a breakthrough and the game ended all square at 0-0.
The two clubs now have 20 points at the top of the standings, but defending champions Langsning are just above Mawkhar on goal difference, leading +24 to +23.
There’s just the one match tomorrow as well, with Nongkrem scheduled to take on Ryntih at 3:45PM at Third Ground.
