Shillong, Aug 1: Mawkhar pulled off their second victory of the First Division season, beating Marbisu 4-2 at the JN Stadium here today.
G Langstieh had given Marbisu the lead as early as the eighth minute and Marbisu held on until the end of the first half when Mawkhar struck twice via Balajied Syiemlieh (45′) and Defender Pyngrope (45’+2).
Y Blah (54′) restored parity with Marbisu’s second goal, but Pyngrope turned in another goal with 60 minutes on the clock to give Mawkhar the lead once again. Aenam Jyrwa then put Mawkhar on a firmer footing with a 79th minute goal for the game to end 4-2.
