Shillong, Aug 30: The Meghalaya U-17 girls’ football team, represented by Umthli Higher Secondary School, won their first match of the Subroto Cup final round in Group H comfortably by a 6-0 margin over Arunachal Pradesh in New Delhi today.
Darisha Kharlyngdoh scored a brace, while Sanphida Nongrum, Sunalinda Iawren, Tracy Rympei and Fragrancy Riwan contributed a goal apiece.
Meghalaya will next face Uttar Pradesh tomorrow at 7AM.
