Shillong, Sep 4: Laitkyrhong won their final group stage match of the Second Division, beating Lumshyiap 3-1 at Third Ground, Polo, today.
E Nongrum took the lead for Laitkyrhong in the ninth minute of the Group A match before I Nongler doubled the lead in the 76th minute.
K Mylliem then made it 3-0 in the 81st before Lumshyiap pulled a goal back through W Syiemlieh in the 84th minute.
Laitkyrhong could not have moved any higher in the standings even before this game, while Lumshyiap could have moved to fourth if they had won this fixture.
