Shillong, Nov 21: Fleet-footed Kitboklang Pale has been loaned by Langsning to Shillong Lajong as the latter try to rescue their ailing I-League 2018-19 season, Khel Now reported today.
Pale played for Lajong as a junior, but then went on to other sides, like erstwhile clubs Shillong United and Royal Wahingdoh, Laban and Langsning.
He was part of the Shillong Premier League 2018-winning Langsning side and even scored the title-winning goal against Lajong in the final (watch that goal on our YouTube page here). He was the joint top scorer with six goals.
Prior to the SPL Pale scored seven goals in Langsning’s unsuccessful bid to win I-League promotion through the Second Division League, including a hat-trick against Jamshedpur FC reserves.
In 2017 he was part of local First Division side Laban, where he was the top scorer of the tournament with seven goals.
Strong with his left foot and exceptionally quick, Pale is one of the best talents Meghalaya football has within it at the moment but it remains to be seen how well he will reintegrate into his old club.
A prolific scorer he certainly is, but, oddly enough, goals have not been too much of a problem for SLFC in this I-League season.
In their five games so far Lajong have scored six goals, which is actually higher than their average (5.33) over the same timeframe in past seasons. The problem, really, has been at the back where 12 goals have been conceded, the most of any club thus far.
