Shillong, Sep 4: Ryntih defeated Nongrim Hills 1-0 in the 10th match of Shillong Premier League 2019 at the JN Stadium here today.
The best chance of the first half came right at the end when Sheen Sohktung took a penalty shot that was denied brilliantly by Nongrim Hills goalkeeper Mebanrilang Suchiang.
However, Sohktung made up for that miss by volleying a goal in the 49th minute off a Milancy Khongstia cross.
Although Nongrim had openings of their own during the match, they never really looked like finding a killer blow and Ryntih goalkeeper Maitshaphrang Kharumnuid didn’t really have much to do, other than coming out to block Batifar Swer towards the end of the game.
