Shillong, Dec 30: Sehlung FC of Mawngap knocked out defending champions United Umsning in the pre-quarterfinal round of the Mawten Invitation Football Tournament on Saturday.
Full time finished 0-0 and Sehlung then won the tiebreaker 3-1.
The man-of-the-match was Sywel Rymbai, the Sehlung goalkeeper.
This was the fourth pre-quarterfinal match. The previous matches saw Mawkohphet defeat KSSA Sawsymper 4-1, Eastern Pirates defeat Myllen 6-0 and Six United beat Khlurkari FC 4-0.
