Shillong, Mar 24: Six Meghalaya women footballers are having a stellar time playing in the Mumbai Football Association Women’s League with PIFA Sports.
TSR had reported earlier this month that five Meghalayans – Badarisha Kharumnuid, Baiarkynti Mylliemngap, Eusibia Kharkongor, Betsheba Kharsyntiew and Iawanlang Nongbet – had signed for the team and they were then joined by Marbarin Nongrum.
PIFA were unbeaten in five games, scoring 18 goals and conceding zero as they won four matches and drew one to top Group B. Nongbet had scored two goals, with Kharumnuid contributing one.
The club have thus romped into the semifinal round and will play their last-four fixture tomorrow.
