Shillong, Nov 22: Meghalaya will play their first North East zonal qualifier of the Senior National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy on 28th November against Assam.
There are three teams in Group A and three in Group B. Meghalaya will be hosting the Group A matches, with those of Group B being held in Imphal.
Apart from Meghalaya and Assam, the other state in Group A is Arunachal Pradesh.
All three matches will take place at the JN Stadium here, with kick-off scheduled for 12:30PM, according to the All India Football Federation website.
The Meghalaya team has been training under Bobby Lyngdoh Nongbet in Laitkor but the names of the players representing the state have not been released yet by the Meghalaya Football Association.
