Shillong, Jan 8: Twelve clubs will be taking part in this season’s Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division football league.
The action will begin on 17th January, though the threat of Covid-19 disruption looms over with the rapid rise in cases, especially in the Shillong area.
The matches of the group stage will be played at Third Ground, Polo, and will kick-off at 2PM.
Group A consists of Third Division 2019 champions Pohkseh, First Division 2019 relegated side Marbisu, Mawryngkneng, Jongksha, Lumshyiap and Mylliem.
In Group B are Third Division 2019 runners-up Umphrup, First Division 2019 relegated team Nongkrem, Laitkor, Laitkyrhong, Wahingdoh and Sohiong.
Absent from the list are Laitumkhrah and Riatsamthiah, which both finished mid-table in 2019.
The semifinals will take place on 26th and 27th February, with the final slated for 5th March.
