Shillong, Feb 12: Mylliem stunned Marbisu 1-0 in Group A of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division at Third Ground, Polo, here today.
After the majority of the match went without a goal, Tirotbornson Kharbyngar found the back of the net in the 88th minute.
This was Marbisu’s first defeat of the season and first game in which they have not scored. A win would have guaranteed them a place in the semifinals but now Group A has become even more interesting.
Mylliem, Marbisu and Pohkseh now all have 7 points from four games. Mylliem have head-to-head advantage over Marbisu but, in turn, Marbisu have that advantage over Pohkseh. Pohkseh will meet Mylliem on 17th February, while Marbisu will play their final group game against Mawryngkneng two days later.
