Shillong, Feb 14: Lumshyiap defeated Mawryngkneng 2-1 in Group A of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division at Third Ground, Polo, here today.
Failbonson Lyngdoh (35′) and Daminot Nongphlang (64′) put Lumshyiap two goals in front but Mawryngkneng gave themselves a glimmer of hope with a late goal by Oliver Pale (84′) but they couldn’t find another before the final whistle.
Lumshyiap now have 6 points from four games but are still in fourth place in Group A, while Mawryngkneng continue to occupy bottom spot with 1 point.
