Shillong, Jul 4: Myngken Higher Secondary School won two of the three finals in the Ri-Bhoi district-level Subroto Cup yesterday.
It was a proud day for Myngken as they reached all three finals – the U-14 boys’, U-17 girls’ and U-17 boys’.
In the end, they won the U-14 boys’ final against Umsning Presbyterian SS 2-0 and the U-17 boys’ final against Nongjri Presbyterian SS 3-2.
Only the U-17 girls’ title eluded Myngken, which was won by Saiden SS 1-0.
Individual prizes were also awarded at the closing ceremony where the District School Education Officer, PL Nonglait, was the chief guest and footballer Ronaldkydon L Nonglait the special guest.

U-17 Girls Best Player – Eleen Kynta (Saiden)
U-17 Girls Best Goalkeeper – Ribancy Tamu (Sati Raja)
U-17 Boys Best Player – Sholinstar Syngkli (School name not provided)
U-17 Boys Best Goalkeeper – Pyntngenlang Shylla (Myngken)
