Shillong, Jul 29: Mawmang SC defeated Sporting XI 4-2 in the 7th Invitation Wahiajer Football Tournament 2023 at Wahiajer Stadium yesterday.
Mawmang’s goals were scored by Max (7′), Ribok (27′), Eleazer (66′) and Mewan (68′) – only first names were provided by the organisers – while Sporting XI scored through Rimiki Dhar (47′) and Gideon Mukhim (69′).
Eleazer was named Player of the Match.
The next game will be the first pre-quarterfinal and it’ll be between Meghalaya Police and Para-i SC on Monday.
