Shillong, Sep 3: Madan SCC registered their fourth win in as many matches in Group A of the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division at Third Ground, Polo, here yesterday. They defeated Lumpyngngad SC 2-1.
This was the same scoreline in the second game, where Nongkolew SC were victorious over Laitumkhrah SC in Group B.
Madan SCC’s goals were provided by Arbandelnes Khongsngi (15′) and Phermanbha Lyngdoh (45′) on either side of Donlang Kharsyiemiong (35′), who scored for Lumpyngngad.
In the other fixture, a flurry of action late in the 70-minute match saw Pynshailang Kharwanniang give Nongkolew the lead in the 55th minute before Nangtei Kharbani scored Laitumkhrah’s first goal of the season in the 70th.
Kharwanniang (70’+5) then added a second deep in stoppage time to seal three points for Nongkolew. This was their second victory of the season, while Laitumkhrah are kept waiting for their first.
