Shillong, Sep 14: Lamlynti FC of Madanlyngkhi trounced Pynthorbah SC 4-0 in their Group C match of the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2023, while Mawpdang SC edged Riatsamthiah SC 2-1 at Third Ground, Polo, here today.
Lamlynti have now won all five of their matches this season and continue to hold onto first place in the standings, while Mawpdang are a close second with four wins and a draw.
Batskhem Thongnirit produced a brace for Lamlynti today, with goals in the fourth and 50th minutes. The other scorers were Deibor Tongper (46′) and Ricky Mawlong (59′).
In the later game, Riatsamthiah scored their first goal of the season thanks to Banjop Thabah (45′) but it was in a losing cause as Mawpdang were able to net two goals through Wellborn Syiem (35′) and Patsha Syiem (64′).
Defeat means that Pynthorbah remain in fourth place on 6 points, while Riatsamthiah are fifth with 2 points.
