Shillong, Apr 9: There were a whopping 527 young athletes who appeared for the Khelo India Rising Talent Hunt programme at the SAI Centre on the NEHU campus here yesterday.
The three-day programme began yesterday with sportspersons from three disciplines being scouted – athletics, boxing and football.
All told, there were 141 who appeared for athletics, 55 for boxing and 331 for football.
The athletes had their vital statistics measured and were then put through a few tests.
