Shillong, Oct 8: Coach Bobby Lyngdoh Nongbet has been selected to attend an ‘Elite Coaches Football Course’ in Mumbai.
One of the most successful youth coaches in Meghalaya, Nongbet has been at the helm of teams that have won numerous national titles (like the U-17 boys’ Subroto Cup in 2019) and most recently led Shillong Lajong FC from nowhere back into the I-League. He is also the Ri-Bhoi District Sports Officer.
This coaching programme, from 10th to 15th October, is being run by the All India Football Federation and will bring together coaches from around the country.
Nongbet holds an AFC A Licence and an international coaching diploma from Hungary. He was named AIFF and AIFC (Association of Indian Football Coaches) Best Youth Coach in 2018.
