Shillong, Oct 26: Mylliem SC and Lawsohtun SC won against Umphyrnai SC and Nongkseh SC respectively in the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2024 at First Ground, Polo, here today.
Lawsohtun pipped Nongkseh in stoppage time 1-0, while Mylliem were 2-0 winners over Umphyrnai.
Like he did in the match before, Lawsohtun’s Kitboklang Pale (90’+2) left it late before scoring. While he was only able to secure a draw versus Umphyrnai, this time his strike gave his team victory and ended favourites Nongkseh’s two-game winning streak.
Earlier, Shembhalang Langbang (4′) and Kevin Kurkalang (34′) scored in the first half for Mylliem’s victory.
Mylliem are now one of four teams on 6 points each, the others being Mawtawar SC, Malki SC and Nongkseh. Umphyrnai occupy the bottom rung of the points table with 1 point.
Monday will see the remaining half of Mawkhar SC versus Mawtawar, beginning at 11:45AM. The game was meant to be played on Saturday but intense fog forced an abandonment at the end of the first half.
Then comes the Meghalaya State League 2024 Group F fixture between Mawlai SC vs Seng Samla Mawmluh at 2PM, followed by the OC Blue Shillong Premier League 2024 match at 5:30PM between Laitkor SC and Sawmer SC.
