Shillong, Dec 13: Laitkor SC registered the biggest ever win in the Shillong Sports Association’s Women’s Football League with a phenomenal 19-0 result against Mawpat SC at Third Ground, Polo, here today.

Daiamon Makroh (2′, 9′, 10′, 18′, 19′, 27′) scored six goals in a double hat-trick, while there were trebles for Ibashisha Khongwet (7′, 11′, 62′) and Ribahunshisha Kharshiing (38′, 46′, 51′) in the 70-minute match.

The other scorers for Laitkor were Tracy Rympei (31′, 33′), Philasakhi Marngar (5′, 55′), Ibakordor Wahlang (50′), SE Peinlang (56′) and S Nongrum (59′).

The previous highest score in a Women’s League match was in the first edition of the tournament in 2021 when Mawlai SC (who would go on to win the title) beat Thynroit SC 18-0. There were also two 16-0 results and one 14-0 in the 2023 season.
