Shillong, Dec 21: Jalapang SC defeated New Shillong FC 3-2 to qualify for the final of the 8th Invitation Knockout Football Tournament, organised by Wahiajer SC, today.
New Shillong bagged the lead first, through Fledy Shynret (22′) but Jalapang shot back to equalise via Kitbok Pale (28′).
They then took the lead in the 51st minute thanks to Manbha Marbaniang and made it 3-1 on the hour through Oliver Pale (60′).
New Shillong reduced the margin with a 68th goal from Bapynkmen Kharsati but they couldn’t find another in the remaining minutes.
The second semifinal will take place on Monday between Nangbah Mulang SC and Nongdawah SC at 1:30PM.
