Shillong, Mar 20: Royal CC defeated Sputnik Spartan CC by eight wickets in their Group A match of the Shillong Cricket League Super Division 2024-25 here yesterday.
Sputnik Spartan won the toss and batted first but their batting line-up was demolished, with the team bundled out for just 74 in 23.5 overs. Sikandar Kumar put in a stunning bowling performance to take 6/26 in 7.5 overs.
The Royals needed just 8.3 overs to chase down the required runs, losing two wickets in the process. Roshan Warbah struck 23 from 20 balls, while Raj Biswa made 19 from 13.
Sikandar (pictured right) was the Player of the Match.
Tomorrow’s match will be between Sporting CC and Nongmensong CC in Group A.
