Shillong, Jul 3: For the second time this season, Nongthymmai Nongkynrih came from behind to win in the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2025, this time beating Dilingiem 3-2 in Group C at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here today.

Dilingiem took the lead in the 12th minute through Aiboklang Jyrwa but this only lasted five minutes as Aryan Nongkhlaw (17′) equalised soon after.

Shain Mujai (31′, 75′) then scored the first of his goals to give Nongthymmai Nongkynrih the lead, though Dilingiem would cancel this out via Nelberistar Syiemlieh (37′) within a few minutes.

Shain then provided the winner in the second half of the 80-minute match. He has scored in all three of his team’s matches this season and has racked up 5 goals in total, which makes him the provisional lead top scorer.

The win takes Nongthymmai Nongkynrih to second place with 6 points, tied with Mawkasiang, though the latter have the better goal difference. These two teams have yet to meet.

Nongthymmai Nongkynrih’s first win was similar in that they conceded to Summit Academy before winning 2-1 on 17th June.

The next matches in the U-20 Fourth Division will take place on Monday as the SSA Stadium will be used exclusively for the State Level Subroto Cup on Friday and Saturday.
