Shillong, Jul 20: Umrasiang United SC and Suchen Lumiarain SC made it through to the quarterfinals of the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Third Division 2025 by winning their respective Round of 16 matches in Khliehriat yesterday.
Umrasiang United blanked Moolang SC 2-0 with goals by Shining Rymbai (38′) and Jen Rymbai (47′), while Suchen Lumiarain required penalties to get past Rymbai Pohskur SC in the second match of the day.
The game was goalless throughout, leading to the use of a tiebreaker to separate the two sides. Suchen Lumiarain won this 4-3.
The Second Division will return on Monday, with the next Third Division matches not until Thursday.
