Shillong, Aug 3: Lama Youth SC and Lumshyrmit SCSC edged past their respective opponents in third and fourth quarterfinals of the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Third Division 2025 in Khliehriat yesterday.
Lama Youth pipped Moonongtdu SC 1-0 in the first match of the day, with Hajanmi Rymbai (7′) scoring an early goal.
The second match was goalless between Musniang Rim SC and Lumshyrmit but the latter won 3-1 in a tiebreaker.
Victory means that Lama Youth and Lumshyrmit will progress to the semifinals and will also gain promotion to next season’s Second Division.
The semifinal fixtures have yet to be released by the EJHDFA. Monday and Tuesday will witness the quarterfinals of the Second Division 2025.
