Shillong, Sep 22: Mylliem Lum and Mawryngkneng will face off in the first semifinal of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2025.
Kick-off will be at 4:15PM at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here.
Mylliem Lum defeated Sohryngkham 1-0 in the first quarterfinal, while Mawryngkneng blazed past Marbisu 3-0 in the third QF.
Mylliem Lum were the top team from Group A, winning all four of their games there. Mawryngkneng were also first in Group C, winning three, drawing one and losing one in the larger group.
Mawpat and Laitkyrhong will be in tomorrow’s second semifinal. Only the two finalists will be promoted to next season’s First Division.
Today, at 1:30PM will also decide which team gets relegated to the Third Division next season. Umpling will definitely face the drop after losing both of their relegation group matches against Umphyrnai (2-1) and Umphrup (4-2).
Today Umphyrnai will take on Umphrup to decide which of these will also drop down. Currently Umphrup have a goal difference of +2 while Umphyrnai’s is +1. That means that Umphrup only need a draw to be safe.
