Shillong, Nov 18: Mawtawar defeated Nongthymmai 3-1 in their last match of the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2025 at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here.
Donkupar Kharmyndai (2′), Iaibatkupar Dkhar (52′) and Aldo M Nongneng (89′) were the scorers for Mawtawar, while Wanshwanaki Suphai (30′) scored for Nongthymmai.
The two clubs were in a fight for third place, which was sealed by Mawtawar. This was their sixth win of the season, while Nongthymmai will finish the season in fourth position; even if Mawkhar beat Ryntih tomorrow, Nongthymmai have head-to-head advantage over Mawkhar and therefore cannot be overtaken.
