Shillong, Mar 4: Royal CC smashed Sporting CC by 113 runs in the first semifinal of the Shillong Cricket League Super Division 2026, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, in Polo today.

Sporting won the toss and chose to field first. Royal weren’t able to put up the biggest total but 230 all out in 43.3 overs proved to be sufficient. Swastic Chettri was the mainstay of the innings with an unbeaten 104 from 117 deliveries. Amad Siddique also provided an important 43 from 54 balls.

On the bowling side, Gagandeep Singh took 5/42 in 8.3 overs, while Rohit Kumar Yadav bagged 2/31 in 9 overs.

The second innings was brief as Sporting were bowled out in just 23 overs for 117. Gagandeep’s 43 from 27 balls was in vain as the rest of his team were unable to put up much resistance. Bipin Kumar Ray was expensive but finished with the best figures of 4/67 in 9 overs, while Raj Biswa bagged 2/30 in 8.

Swastic was named Player of the Match.

The second semifinal between Rangkynsai SC and Nongmensong CC will be held tomorrow.
