Shillong, Apr 6: Kishan Lyngdoh was at his best in a sensational unbeaten century that led Rangkynsai SC to victory over Rhinoland Cricket Academy by eight wickets and with 3.5 overs to spare in Group B of the Super 8 stage in the 1st Late PA Sangma Memorial T20 Tournament, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, at Polo Ground here today.
Rangkynsai won the toss and chose to field first. Rhinoland batted well to clock up 171/8 in their 20 overs but Rangkynsai polished off a decent total in just 16.1 overs and after losing only two wickets.
Kishan finished not out on 120 from just 58 deliveries, giving him a strike rate of more than 200. Ajay Duhan was the next highest scorer with 36 from 30 balls.
Earlier, Rhinoland’s Sumit Kashyap hit 42 from 28 balls and Dhruv Raj Bora 39 from 25. For Rangkynsai, Ajay took 4/22 in 4 overs and Sudhir Sahani 2/49 in an expensive 4 overs.
Kishan was ultimately named Player of the Match.
