Shillong, May 13: The Meghalaya State Olympic Association will once again join the global sports community in celebrating Olympic Day 2026 with the seventh edition of its Shillong 10K Run on 27th June.

The route this year will follow the same as that of last year – from the JN Stadium gate to Polo Bazar, 4th Furlong, BK Bajoria junction, BK Bajoria School, PGT College, Shillong Commerce College, Shillong College, Don Bosco Square, Laitumkhrah Police Point, Laitumkhrah Police Beat House, Fire Brigade, St Edmund’s School, Dhankheti, Malki Point, Barik Point, Civil Hospital, State Central Library, Meghalaya Secretariat, Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Governor’s House, Ward’s Lake, Chief Minister’s residence, Hotel Polo Towers, Polo Bazar and back at the JN Stadium gate number one.

The event is open to those above 17 years, both men and women.

The cash prize also remains the same, with winners to receive Rs 5,000, second-placed finishers Rs 3,000 and those coming third Rs 2,000. There will also be five consolation prizes and gifts for runners above 55 years who complete the race.

Refreshments after the run and free t-shirts will be given on the day of the run on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is free and entries will be accepted at the MSOA office adjacent to the JN Stadium from 2PM to 5PM on working days. The last date for registration is 19th June.
