Shillong, Aug 31: Shillong College defended their title at the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Inter College Football Tournament 2023 by defeating St Anthony’s College 3-1 in the final at the SAI Centre on the university campus here today.
The tournament (for men’s teams only) was organised by the NEHU Sports Department and ran from 21st August. Thirty-two affiliated colleges and the NEHU Shillong and Tura campus students took part, with 700 players taking part in all.
Details of today’s action were not provided in NEHU’s press release.
NEHU Registrar Prof SR Joshi was the chief guest at the final and Mawlai MLA Brightstarwell Marbaniang the guest of honour, among other dignitaries.
