Shillong, Aug 3: Lummawbah snuck into the semifinals of the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2025 with a 1-0 victory against Laitkroh in the fourth and last quarterfinal at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, here yesterday.
Bajiedlang Rangslang (80’+3) scored the only goal of the game in stoppage time just when it seemed likely that we would need a tiebreaker to break the deadlock.
Both teams were lacking throughout the match in terms of ball control, passing and general awareness but Bajiedlang was able to meet a ball lobbed forwards for him and take a shot. The goalkeeper parried it but not far away enough and Bajiedlang was alert to the chance and headed the ball into the net.
By reaching the semifinals Lummawbah will also be promoted to next season’s Third Division.
The line-up for the semifinals is also complete, with Lummawbah joining Lapalang, Mawlynrei and Mawkasiang in the last-four.

6th August – Lapalang vs Mawlynrei, 2:30PM
7th August – Mawkasiang vs Lummawbah, 2:30PM
