Shillong, Jul 20: An action-packed day awaits in the Meghalaya Baby League 2018 here tomorrow, with 10 teams to be involved in 25 matches spread across all age groups.
The MBL 2018 is the joint initiative of Tata Trusts, the Meghalaya Football Association and All India Football Federation.
The JN Stadium, Third Ground and Futsal Ground will all host matches tomorrow.
Last weekend Langsning Greenergy Lions won four out of their five games against ENE Falcons, with the 6-7 age group match ending in a 2-2 draw. This was the first time that any team has been able to prevent the Greenergy Lions from winning.
This weekend Langsning Greenergy Lions will take on Little Star Clouded Leopards from 10AM. ENE Falcons, meanwhile, get the weekend off.
The other fixtures last Saturday were between Unified Gorkha Gators and Kickstart FCC Rhinos. The Gators won the 6-7 age group match 3-1, but were otherwise defeated in the other four by the Rhinos.
The Gators will also be getting a rest tomorrow, but the Rhinos will take on Mawlatbah SC Hawks from 12:30PM.
Meanwhile, the other of Saturday’s games will see Nongthymmai GC Scorpions face Sunnydale School Doves from 9:30AM, Wahlakhiat Bulls versus Touchline NE Cubs from 1:20PM and Nongtrai Cheetahs go up against JNS Jaguars from 1:20PM.
