Shillong, Jun 12: Marbisu recorded the highest margin of victory in this season’s U-18 Shillong Premier League thus far with a massive 9-0 victory over Nongkrem at Third Ground, Polo, today.
Bobidonlang Lyngkhoi scored four goals (30′, 38′, 40′, 69′) to become the second player this year to score a hat-trick. Lumlang Hujon, meanwhile, produced a brace (19′, 54′) and Vobisterfield Marngar (24′), Steven Mark Lyngdoh Kynshi (41′) and Meshanskhem Marbaniang (67′) scored one each.
Lyngkhoi and Hujon thus join Langsning’s Rikmenlang Nongrum as joint top scorers this season with four goals each.
Marbisu had scored just four goals in their previous four fixtures before registering more than twice that many today. On the other side, this was Nongkrem’s second big defeat, having gone down 8-0 to Langsning in their opening fixture on 18th May.
Tomorrow defending champions Langsning are scheduled to take on Shillong Lajong at 1PM.
