Shillong, Sep 6: Meghalaya Police secured a point from their First Division match against Sawmer at the JN Stadium here today after a 1-1 draw.
Gamelial Kharlyngdoh bagged the lead for Sawmer in the 73rd minute but Vikram Chettri equalised for the police right towards the end of the match.
Both teams are now on 11 points, equal with Imson, after seven games with one to go. MLP are in front on head-to-head over the other two teams, with Sawmer following in fourth and Imson dropped to fifth. While MLP had beaten Imson last month, while Sawmer had played out a goalless draw against Imson in July.
On 12th September Smit are scheduled to face Lawsohtun at 3PM.
