Shillong, Jan 27: Wanpynshngain Nongsteng, a former junior Rangdajied United player, has joined Hyderabad FC reserves for the Second Division League.
TSR doesn’t know much about Nongsteng, other than he hails from Mylliem and studies at Shillong College, for whom he has also played football, most notably at the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports football championship.
The defender has also played his club football for Marbisu, Riatsamthiah and Rangdajied, including in the U-18 Youth League (now Elite League) for the latter. Marbisu made the announcement of Nongsteng’s move on their Facebook page this evening.
Hyderabad are in Group B of the Second Division. The reserve sides of the Indian Super League teams will only play in the group stage of the competition.
